Translated from my Bengali book ‘Upanishader pare’(Beyond Upanishad)

Volume-2, 2013

[Jibankrishna used to discuss his lifelong divine realizations with innumerable listeners at his residence every day. Many of these discussions were based on Upanishads and yogic interpretations on The Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna.

These discussions were recorded by some listeners in their diaries. Based on a compilation work from these diaries I have published thirteen books in Bengali. The articles are translated from my books. ]

Diamond (Jibankrishna) is the Person in the sun as mentioned in Upanishads

Diamond says:

See, fourteen people including male and female have seen me so long in the sun in their dreams. What does it mean? The life power of human being is me. I have accumulated the life force of the human race within me. And this I have recorded in my book ‘Religion and Realization’ long time back. Long years have passed when I was shown in my dreams that the wheel-shaped missile with a rod was held in my hand. This wheel-shaped missile symbolizes kundalini or life-power.

The proof that I am the life-power of human being was borne by you and is still continuing. So what has happened here? – All is one and one is All.

[In Chandyogya Upanishad it is mentioned about the person in sun as such:

‘Now, that golden Person who is seen within the sun has a golden beard and golden hair. He is exceedingly brilliant, all, even to the fingernail tips. (1.6.6)]

Again they say:

‘Earth, fire, food, sun are forms of me. But the Person, who is seen in the sun – I am he; I am He indeed’. (4.11.1)

Diamond – Vedanta personified

On 29.10.1961 Diamond said –

‘Ma’ means Atma or Self. I visualized Atma – what happened? I am that Atma or self. ‘Ra’ means world. I visualized the world within Atma. What happened? I am the world. World means this human race only. What happened then? I am the human race. Then the world is converted into seed. What happened? I am the seed.

Vedanta’s realizations are (1) ‘Ma’; (2) ‘Ra’; (3) Seed; (4) Dream; (5) Vanished.

Out of these five realizations the first three have the proofs and I have given, but only to-day I have realized, though it happened long time back.

See, I am Atma. Where is the proof? Atma is within the human body. Vedas quote, ‘He is within every human being’ and so my image is being seen in innumerable people.

Then I saw the universe within Atma – it means I have become this universe. The proof for it is being given by human race, when they say, ‘We have seen you and are seeing within our bodies’.

Then comes seed. I saw seed or point. What happened? I was transformed into a seed or point.

Here comes Sankaracharyya’s Advaitism (Non-dualism) – ‘Remove your name? Here also you eradicate your name. Then what remains? Only the seed remains. This is the seed in mother’s womb. I am that seed. And the evolution of that seed is my image which you are visualizing within yourself.

Here even there is no need of removing the name. You have your names, but I am within all of you in seed form. Wherever it is germinated, he or she is seeing my image within, saying, ‘We are in non-existence, you are in existence. Where these are not germinated, even there also I am in existence and can be expressed.

Then comes ‘dream status’ – I have this status and you are the proof. Had I have not such stage, you would not have seen me within yourselves. Light produces light. This I have told you long time back.

This has reference in Brihad-Aranyaka Upanishad (5.1) saying: This earth is honey for all creatures, and all creatures are honey for this earth. This shining, immortal person who is in this earth, and with reference to oneself, this shining, immortal person who is in the body he, indeed, is just this soul (Atma), this immortal, this Brahma, this All.

My first visit to Diamond (Jibankrishna)

I saw Jiban Krishna in dream before I met him in reality

Khagendranath Das

From the very childhood I had a devoted mind for spiritualism.  But I had never such an idea that a man can be transformed into god or god can be a living human being.  How such experience happened in my life will be narrated now.

It was 1960, I have spent 35 years of my family life, one day I met my childhood elder friend Gopal Chandra Roy.  I saw a great change in his face, eyes and conversations.  What happened to is life?  Gradually I came to know that he had come in contact with a great noble man named Jibankrishna (Diamond).  I became regardful to Jibankrishna and whenever I got opportunity I used to hear about him from brother Gopal.

Still I did not meet Jibankrishna.  One night saw in a dream that on my left side the sea was roaring and on my right side a broad road continued straight.  I walked through that road and continued waking.  Suddenly I noticed that in front there was a high hill and there was a cave in that hill.  Unknowingly I entered into that cave.  I saw that living goddess Durga was seated with her sons Kartick and Ganesh (elephant face).  But Ganesh’s face was like a human being.  Then my dream was off.  I felt a great joy and woke up.  Another day I saw in a dream that my son was telling me, ‘Daddy, let us go to see the god’.  I said, ‘let us go’.

Then I saw that both of us were standing in front of a one-storied house.  The door was closed.  My son was saying, ‘go inside’.  As soon as I went in front of the door, it was opened automatically.  It seemed that one gentleman was lying on a cot covering his body with a grey cloth.  When I entered into the room the gentleman was going to uncover his face but the cloth was stuck to his short hair, but then it was opened.  Seeing him I was feeling a shivering sensation in my body.  At that moment he held tightly my hand and I became senseless.

Each dream I used to narrate to brother Gopal.  When I told him my last dream, he said, ‘To-day I shall take you to a place’.

When in the afternoon he took me there, I was puzzled seeing the same room, bed and cot and overall the same man whom I saw in the dream.   What a strange thing that there is no difference between reality and dream!

1)   May, 1959 .

In my first dream Sri Ramkrishna Deva., was seen sitting on a Cot in a hut. The dream went off. I woke up and again slept and dreamed.  Sri Ramkrishna was lying on the floor being attacked by Cancer. The house was two storied and seemed to be unknown. He was giving his blessings on numerous devotees and then turned towards me as if with an intention that whatever I would want he was ready to give it to me. But I wanted nothing and kept silent. All on a sudden I saw the Holy goddess Kali near the door in place of Sri Ramkrishna and then again she was  transformed into Sri Ramkrishna.

[When I narrated this dream to Diamond he interpreted that it showed my previous birth with Sri Ramkrishna.

However, the most striking feature was that, in the year 1960, when I was posted in Govt. service. I had to go to Cossipore Udyanbati (garden house where Sri Ramkrishna was staying being attacked by Cancer and here he showered his blessings on devotees) for same advisory work on Agriculture. Being there I. got surprised after seeing the house .The same house with same doors and windows I saw in my dream in 1959.  After long years I came to know the mystery of rebirth that as the whole universe including past, present and future is within our brain and whenever required, it flashes through dreams. Thus annihilation of time and space occurs within us.]

Forecast  of  God-the-Preceptor  about  me in dream

2)  March, 1972.  I dreamed that I had gone to one of my friend‘s house at Howrah Town (near Kolkata) to collect the 2nd and 3rd part of a book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ (written by Diamond in Bengali based on his personal realizations). But they said that they had not  even a single book. So I came out and aimlessly roamed here and there and unmindfully reached the residence of Diamond where; I found Diamond sitting on his cot in his room. Seeing me he only uttered without asking anything: ’Hey! You will write the 2nd and 3rd part of Dharma-O-Anubhuti’. Then and there the dream went off.

[I gave no importance on it, but within 2-3 days some urge appeared in my mind to find this book. Strangely, I had no idea that book was already written by Diamond. I thought, I might have to write this book. As days passed on, some force began to arise within me for Diamond and gradually my mind began to change from the worldly affairs towards the world of Diamond where I felt that the true religion means the spontaneous evolution of life power within a human body to be transformed into God.

Thus a new divine life began in me together with my activities in the material world , and was bloomed with innumerable strange and unique dreams enriching my mind and thoughts gradually.

After several years when I had experienced  many realizations, I realized what was its real meaning. I realized that my God-the-Preceptor wanted to say that in future I would have various realizations mentioned in the 2nd and 3rd part of ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’. Because’ to write; means fixation of the effects of realizations within the body

Note: In real life, this actually happened when I had experienced many realizations  mentioned in the 2nd and 3rd part of Diamond’s book.]

Vision of my future life

3)  May3, 1972:  Early morning dream: A girl was seated in front of me, as if she would be married to me. I felt very upset. All on a sudden I observed that Sri Ramkrishna was sitting behind the girl with a sweet smiling face having an affectionate look on me. I had nothing but looking at him helplessly. Suddenly he took a paper and wrote on it that my marriage would be cancelled. Then the dream went off.

[The dream could not be followed for a long time, but gradually the effect of the dream came in my life in a way that the feeling for ritualistic marriage was eradicated from my mind and so ultimately I remained bachelor].

106).               “After the annihilation  of the Universe when a great-cycle ends,

the Divine Mother collects and stores the seeds of Creation . As

if she is the elderly mistress of the house with a hotch-potch pot

to keep in store all different species of articles “.

This is the third realizations in the course when the embodied soul unfolds ; the great Universe is transformed onto seed .

107).                “After creation, the Primal Force pervades the Universe itself .

The Universe is brought forth and it is pervaded”.

The Universe is in God as seen in the seventh plane and again God pervades the Universe. Each and every form as seen in the Universe is but a different aspect of God.

108).               “Is Kali ( the Divine Mother is so addressed ) of black complexion ?

The distance makes her look black . If one comes to know her then

She is no more black”.

At the first stage of meditation utter darkness is seen. But as meditation proceeds and the planes in the body are opened, various realizations come in view. “A man marching in the path of meditation first sees the form of goodness with ten hands and in great grandeur ; then he sees god with four hands ; then with two hands, then in the form of a body and lastly he sees God’s light”—Shri Ramkrishna .

109).                   “The sky looks blue at a distance, but look at it nearby—there is

no colour. The water of ocean looks blue at a distance , But go

close by, take it in your plam and see,—there is no colour “.

It is spoken of God without form and attributes. In Ascent when ego consciousness is gone, nobody knows what remains. If the man is blessed enough to come back in Descent with Divine Consciousness then he knows only “Yes” (Asti) so far and nothing else.

110).                      “He is the master both of bondage and liberation”.

If God through His grace frees Himself from the body then there is liberation , and if He does not so then it is bondage .

“I” or “ego”—-is bondage.

Liberation lies in solving the problem of “I” or “ego”. The skin of an onion is peeled off one after another, then in the end there remains no skin. This is liberation. Here in the simile, onion represents ‘I’. There are two other stages where the bliss of liberation is seen and felt, and they are all in attributive conditions. (1)  The first stage is that—God is liberated from the body and collected and shown by God-the-Preceptor as “Atma” in the seventh plane. (ii) The second stage is when the sense springs up that ‘I am not body but I am God”!

Seeing Diamond in dreams and reality after his death through Reading Centers

Part – 3

Dhruba Mukherjee is a listener of Lucknow Reading Center where Diamond’s (Jibankrishna) Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ (Religion and Realization) is read regularly. After attending and listening to the reading of the book he began to see Diamond in dreams and trances in various ways. Here are two of his trances according to his own version.

On December15, 1993 I had a trance and saw that I was sleeping in my house. The door was closed and the windows were opened. In the midnight I woke up by a walking sound through the window. I saw through the window that waves of light entered inside the room as if it was an ocean of light. This continued up to the last night. Early in the morning somebody threw a stone near my head. Getting up hastily I saw that it was a diamond.

This same scene was repeated for three consecutive nights and three diamonds were thrown near my head I couldn’t solve the question who used to play with me every night and why he was throwing diamonds and then was disappearing.

To solve this mystery I went bed in the fourth night. In the midnight as soon as the waves of light came and a diamond was thrown. I got up immediately and opened the door to see who was doing this game. But I failed to trace anybody.

In the fifth and sixth night I tried but failed, through I got six diamonds so far.

It was the seventh night. I remained very cautions. At the end of light waves as soon as the diamond was thrown, I went outside and seeing an unknown man I hugged him and dragging him inside the room I closed the door. I watched the man carefully and saw he wore a royal dress. I asked him, ‘Are you a king? And if so, which is your Kingdom?’ They gentleman laughed and said, ‘I am the King of Kings, my Kingdom is spread throughout the world.’ But I insisted to know his actual introduction, and then he changed his royal dress to a simple one. I saw with a surprise that he was Jibankrishna. Looking at him I lied down at his feet. Blessing me he said with an affectionate voice, ‘My boy Dhruba, your great desire for me will remain throughout your life.’ Then my trance was off.

[This realization shows that God shows his sportive forms within a human body like this. This had been mentioned in Upanishads.]

It was the year 1994. I cannot remember the exact date. One morning I was seated on a chair remembering the sportive forms of Jibankrishna. When it was deeper I fell into a trance and saw that the whole room was covered with a fog. It was so dense that nothing was visible properly. Only I could understand that somebody was coming towards me. As he came nearer to me I could see his smiling face and saw that he was none but Jibankrishna. He garlanded me made with diamonds saying repeatedly to me, ‘just now there will be a fun and you can see. But be easy and don’t be scared. No harm will happen to you as I am with you.’ Saying this he went away and I saw that from the diamond garland different colored lights were emerging. At this moment my trance was off.

[The seer is getting the grace of God-the-Preceptor.]

Volume – 2,  January, 2013

[Excerpt of the letter written by Ananda Mohan Ghosh addressing to Arun Ghosh when Jibankrishna was alive.  It was written when Arun Ghosh was stationed at Asansol of Burdwan District, West Bengal, India, as a Railway employee. Both of them were Jibankrishna’s companions.]

June 30, 1957.

Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna) was going to the houses of different devotees, taking their services and food, but here in Jibankrishna’s case there is no such complications.  In this aspect Jibankrishna said, ‘who takes from others?  Who has want, isn’t so? And he who has no wanted or in other sense who is full, he will not accept anything from anybody.  Now can you understand what is the differences between Thakur’s  era and here? Do you know why?  It is the difference of impact of God’s manifestation in that era and here.  Thakur as saying himself the same thing when he said to Maharshi Debendra Nath Tagore (The great poet Rabindra Nath Tagore’s father), ‘I cannot be a Babu (gentleman)’.  It has a very significant meaning.  What is the meaning of Babu?  He is God.  Then Debendranath could not attain full-fledged Godhood,  he achieved up to avatar-hood (incarnation of God).  But here it is not only Babu, it is the great Babu.

Last Friday night Jibankrishna said, ‘See, Dhiren Babu narrated a dream to me.  Let me tell you the dream.

He was seeing that Ashu taking an iron rod came and gave me in my hand.

Now can you give its meaning (Looking at Jiten Chatterjee)?  After thinking for some time Jiten Babu said, ‘Ashu means Shiva – the symbol of goodness.’ Jibankrishna questioned, ‘Why iron rod was swhown’?

Jiten Babu said after a while, ‘God-the-Preceptor in the form of goodness will awaken Kundalini or life power.

Hearing this Jiban Krishna said, ‘yes’ and then closing his eyes sat silently on his cot.  The reading of the gospel of Sri Ramkrishna was going on.

After some time he said, ‘opening his eyes, ‘It may have one meaning that in future god-the Preceitor will rule with iron rod.  There is a proverb – Ruling with an iron rod’.  But Souren said, ‘No, this will be ruling with an iron hand.’  Jibankrishna said, ‘This can be both ruling with an iron hand or iron rod.  Both have the same meaning.

Those who do not come after attending 2-3 times even they will not be spared.  You are thinking that we have got God-the-Preceptor, then it is done, we have nothing to do.’

Hearing this we began to laugh.  Then with a smiling face he said, ‘yes, you are thinking that we have achieved spiritual development, free of cost, so we have nothing to do.’

Then making a sigh he said, ‘Later on you can understand what it means.  Just see my case. Day and night till morning to night I am talking and talking. There is no rest.

At my 12-years 4 months age Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna) appeared in me.  But I did not care and thought let it be, these are funny things.  I did not give much attention to all, these things.  But now I can feel its effect.’

He sat silently for some moments and then again said, ‘My boys in whom God-the Preceptor appears he will govern him like this.’

July 16, 1957.

That day Bholanath Mukherjee was reading the gospel of Sri Ramkrishna.  It was mentioned, ‘when there is thirst for earthly pleasure. There is hazard.’

Jibankrishna said, ‘Do you know what kind of earthly pleasure it is?  Except God whatever work you think or do that will be earthly pleasure.  The minimum is to call God and the maximum you try to understand yourselves.  But one thing – don’t make a show of it.  Whatever is needed to do for your family you have to do?  You may think that there are so many parfernalias.  But see, inspite of so many hazards or minus points nothing can do any harm to Atma or Soul.  This is its peculiarity.  After a while he again said with smiling face, ‘Listen, God is Almighty, nothing harms Him.  If He ants he will overcome all obstacles and progresses.  Don’t worry, only call Him and that prayer should be sincere.

That day Ambar came.  He was seated leaning against the wall in between the east facing window and door.  Suddenly he said, ‘see whatever you said now, all those I was also thinking.  What a strange thing! How do you read my mind!

Last night I could not sleep up to 12 AM,. I was  thinking that all these things are not meant for me.  I will not go to you anymore, because it seems to me that it is not possible for me to follow this path.  What is my necessity here!  All these thoughts were playing in my mind.

I did not know when I slept.  In the midnight I woke up and felt severe shivering in my body from feet to mouth.  By any means I could not check myself.  When for a long time I could not check the shivering.  I addressed to you and said, ‘well, I shall go to you. How strange it was!  As soon as I prayed, all the shivering stopped like a magic.  I was surprised myself seeing such strange incidence.

I could understand that in spite of my desire; I could not keep myself away from this path.  I understood furthermore that in spite of all frailties, short comings nothing could do any harm to me.  If God wishes nothing is a barrier.’

In the context of the previous discussion Ambar said, ‘But what a strange thing! What I thought how did you know that’!.

Hearing this with a smiling face Jibankrishna said, ‘I do not know anything.  But what a strange thing it is’!  Saying this he looked at me.
