Chapter 35

[Quite a number of people have seen Jibankrishna or Diamond in the sun in dreams and trances both in his life time and after death. Even after his death in 1967, people still are seeing him in sun through dreams and in trance. This phenomenon has been mentioned in different Upanishads, though the person in sun described by them remained unidentified. They have only mentioned in their hymns.

Then thousands and thousands of years rolled by, but that phenomenon remains a mystery to mankind and thousands of people in India have lost their eyes by looking at the outside sun to trace that person, But in vain!

After so long years Jibankrishna unveiled the mystery when the first man saw him in sun in his dream. Thereafter as days passed by, countless people saw him in sun through their dreams and still it is continuing. A very few examples are recorded to establish the truth described in Upanishads and discussed in the light of Jibankrishna’s versions on different dates with reference to hymns of Upanishads.]

Mrs Bani Kar from Beleghata Reading Center, Kolkata has narrated how she saw Jibankrishna in sun in her dream.

I saw in my dream the face of Jibankrishna in the sun. He was telling me, ‘I exist alone, I exist alone’! Hearing these words my dream was off.

[The dream establishes the hymns of Upanishads through the seer thus:

Taittiriya Upanishad has mentioned:

Both he who is here in a person and he who is younder in the sun – he is one (2.8)]

Ms. Nilima Basu is a 78 years old lady and attends Baguiati Reading Centdre regularly for listening to the reading of Jibankrishna’s (Diamond) Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ (Religion and Realization in English version). She narrated two dreams like this:

1. OnApril 9, 2004, I saw in my dream that I was walking on a road, I saw a huge pond in front with waving water. Looking at the sky I saw a form of a human being upto chest. Infront of that form a fan was revolving and an electricity being produced was creating waves in the pond. I looked at that powerful man and then some voice was heard, ‘Thee is the creator? After waking up I realized, ‘Oh’, so long I was seeing Jibankrishna in the sun’! I was overwhelmed with joy.

[Jibankrishna being seen in the sun establishes the  proof of the hymns of Upanishads’, The man who is in the sun and he who is outside are the same and one. He is Parama Brahma (Supreme self). Sun is life, produces power among the human life. Jibankrishna is within every human being producing power within him.]

Mrs. Renu Dutta narrated her dream thus :

In the month of May, 1996, one night I dreamt that I had gone to Puri. The sea was very wavy. Suddenly I saw that a huge disc like sun was rising from the sea and inside the sun Jibankrishna was seated on a lotus. The whole surrounding was illuminated with divine light. My dream was off.

Mrs. Anila Chatterjee used to listen to the reading of Jibankrishna’s Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ at Dashnagar Reading Center of Howrah town (West Bengal, India). Within a few days she started to have divine dreams, and has narrated how she saw Jibankrishna in sun through dream.

One day I saw in my dream a rising morning sun and inside was seated a gentleman wearing white dhoti and covering his head with a part of it. I was wondering who he might be! But within a moment seeing his beard and mostache I recognized him to be Jibankrishna.

Again another day I saw in the dream that JIbankrishna was seated inside a sun. When he went away, I saw Bankim Chakrabarty (A companion of JIbankrishna) sitting there. My dream then went off.

[The man in the sun is mentioned in Isha Upanishad. In Upanishads the person in the sun was mentioned as ‘Parama Brahma’ or Supreme Self. The seer saw Jibankrishna as ‘Parama Brahma’.]

Seeing Jibankrishna in sun as an unknown man

Mrs Raj Laxmi Das

January 2, 1969.

From Beleghata Reading Center, Kolkata, Mrs. Raj Laxmi Das has narrated this dream.

In dream I saw myself seated for worshipping a picture of the paired idols of Lord Krishna and Radha which was placed on a tiny throne.  The whole picture seemed to be a red globe.  It was red like the color of rising sun though without rays.  Inside that globe was standing a form of an unknown person.  He seemed to be a Muslim by his figure.  The dream was then off.

After about two years when the photo of Jibankrishna was printed, I was surprised to see that I saw this same man in my dream.  He had the short beard on his chick.

[The dream established the fact that Jiban Krishna is Parama Brahma or Supreme self who is seen in sun].

This is described in Maitri Upanishad thousands of years ago as such:

“He who is younder, younder person in the sun – I myself am he.  Verily that which is the sunhood of the sun is the Eternal Real.  That is the pure, the personal, the sexless of the bright power that pervades the sky, it is only a portion which, as it were, in the midst of the sun, in the eye and in fire.  That is Brahma.  That is the immortal.  That is splender.  That is the Eternal Real (6.35).

Moreover, the dream also proved that fact that Jibankrishna is being seen by myriads of people in dreams and reality without being known before].

 My sweet memories with Jibankrishna(Diamond)

Ramkrishna Ghosh.

Part- 2

I remember one day’s incident.  At the later stage of his life different reading centres were established where his book ‘Dharma-O- Anubhuti’ (Religion and Realization in English version) used to be read. He sent many companions to read at the centres. One day he told me’. ‘You also go to read’. But I said, ‘No, I shall not go. Otherwise I cannot listen to your conversations. There is no second person in this world to say all these words. I shall stay with you and listen to you, because I shall never hear such words’. Now I shall discuss about some incidents of Ghatsila in the month of December, 1965 he went to Ghatshila with some companions to stay for a few days. I shall never forget those sweet memories. He asked me, ‘Will you go’? I was at once ready and decided to take leave from my office. One day in the evening the host Dwijendra Nath Roy, his brother’s wife, Raghu, Ananda and Ashok were seated and ‘Brahama Sutra’ was being read. Ananda was reading. Brother Dwijendra was asking questions and he was answering. Once he said, ‘ See both Sankar (Sankaracharya) and Ramanuj were saying about problems, but could not solve that problem. They were explaining through merely intellectualism. But I am saying what is right. You will never get any negative in me, you will get only positive. I am constructing first and then destruct. See, I wish to write a yogic interpretation of ‘Brahmasutra’. Let’s see what happens?

I had a constant companion with him at Ghatshila. I had no sense of difference between dates. Continuous discussions used to go on about God and God only. I had a sense of love mixed with regard for him except thinking him as God.

One day I saw in a dream that I was seated on a cot in my room and Jibankrishna was standing near the door. Showing my head I told him, ‘Well, how this brain can be free from last and worldly desire’? He said, ‘ Continuous spiritual practice is necessary’. Saying this he took a upanishad from the self and said, ‘ Have you read it’? I said, ‘yes, I have read, though partly’. Then he wanted a paper and taking the paper he wrapped his old shoes in it and went away wearing a new pair of shoes. I thought probably he would come back but did not return. My dream was off.

When Jibankrishna used to talk about individualism I enjoyed it very much, but during discussion on universalism I enjoyed it more. One day he said, ‘ See, I can talk more about Vedanta’. I said, ‘Say more’. But he said, ‘ Vedanta is more tough and dry. Let it be conceived gradually’.

Regarding  prejudices one day he said, ‘ If a sampling is covered by a basket, it cannot grow properly and is suppressed. So in our case if our prejudices are suppressed the natural motion of life force is also suppressed.  So the brain should be free from any prejudice’.

He said once, ‘ My boy, from whom I have learnt all these things? There are spontaneous. Take me as a  man’. Another day’s incident at kadamtala. I was seated in front of him. He said, ‘You can talk with me about history’. I shall finish now with an incident happened when I went to him in early days. I was seated near him. Satya Babu and others were also seated there. Suddenly I noticed that Jibankrishna’s body became completely read with swelling and goosebumps. He said, ‘ Ramkrishna, this is called the symptom of Mahabhava ( The great Ecstasy). I was looking at him with an open mouth.

Later on Satyababu came out and told me, ‘What are you seeing now. At early stages his body used to be like a red meat. One day I was thinking that after long exertion of austerity such condition is achieve. But then and there he said, ‘No satya babu, these are not achieved by self exertion, these are spontaneous’. While hearing satyababu’s narration I thought that we have only heard about the great Ecstasy, but this was the first time that I witnessed it.

75.      5th December, 1975.

Last night dream:    I saw someone was playing a khol (An indigenous drum) and I was singing a devotional song with a Khanjani (An indigenous musical instrument with two small metal discs). At this stage the dream went off.

[The dream reveals instantly like this; The devotional song by the seer indicates that in future he will have many realizations in his descent condition of austerity.

Note :  In future actually the seer had experienced innumerable realizations in descent.]

76.     7th December, 1975.

Late night dream:    I was standing in front of the laboratory of the Agri-Horticultural Society of India at Calcutta, my ex-working place. Suddenly 3-4 young boys stood in front of me. One of them, a very strongly built body, came behind me and tore the back side of my shirt. The torn portion was hanging and I charged the boy. He said, ‘it was already torn, I tore the rest’. I caught him with an intention to punish him. But as soon as I caught him, all my grudge was wiped out and a feeling of love grew in my mind. It seemed to me as if the boy had long been familiar to me. The dream here went off and just at the moment of awakening, these words flashed in my brain. ‘Sadhana (austerity) of descent’.

[An unnatural feeling of divine joy used to play in me for a long time throughout the day, as an effect of the dream and realized that this dream was a corroboration of the previous dream.]

77.     8th December, 1975.

Early morning dream:  I was spending my time with many companions of Diamond in an unknown place, Discussion and reading of Sri Sri Ramkrishna Kathamrita were going on there .  Sometimes I was roaming casually here and there. In one place I observed a magician playing magic. From there I went to another place and saw  Anath Mondal and many other companions of Diamond reading books on Diamond (Jibankrishna ). I sat there and the dream went off.

This dream revealed the sayings of Sri Ramkrishna –‘After achievement of God the seer casually roams around the town for enjoying amusements’.

78.   9th  December,  1975.

Early morning dream:   I was spending time at  Debkumar Choudhury’s residence where Kathamrita reading is going on—including enjoying snacks. After a while I saw myself in an unknown place and how I was present there was unknown to me. The place seemed to be of prehistoric age – a boggy place with dense forest. Suddenly an unknown voice entered into my ear—this is a place of prehistoric age. I was surprisingly thinking—I am now in prehistoric age! Then I climbed up a tree and reached a height of 6’-7’. Suddenly I noticed two creatures—half man half monkey, were observing me with great astonishment. Again the unknown voice told me, ‘These are Ape man’. Then all on a sudden the tree carrying me began to fly in the sky. It went on passing so many houses, places as well as time. I was enjoying this experience with great joy and fun. After some time I observed that it took me back again to the residence of  Debkumar Choudhury.

[The dream revealed the annihilation of time and space to the seer. Revelation of long past also indicates the powerful brain faculty and at the same time dream indicates one probability that the existence of human race was present from time immemorial.

79.     11th December, 1975.

Early morning dream:  Very forcefully I was saying to one of my friend named Debasish—‘see, destruction is coming’—this sentence was uttered repeatedly by me without my own consciousness. When I came to normalcy, it seemed to me that some other force was talking through me. The dream went off.

[The dream revealed that the effect would come internally indicating the destruction of animal passion within the body of the seer.]

By Diamond picked up in the street

Place  :—Temple  of  Dakshineswar.

Place—Temple  of  Dakshineswar .

(Henceforth  Shri  Ramkrishna  will be  spoken  of  as

Thakur” when required  as  it is so  done in the  Gospel )

221)     “Attainment  of  complete  knowledge  is  not  for  the

‘Kalijuga’  (Lit  :  The  Iron  Age)”

In the present era life is sustained by food, that is, the body is physically unfit, a weakling. The Supreme Cult(Brahmavidya) is not meant for a weakling.

222)     “The  fifth  plane  has  its  seat  in  the  throat  (in  the  precess  of transformation  of  life-power).

The  man  whose  mind  reaches  the  fifth  plane  becomes  free from  ignorance  and  animal  instincts  (anger, lust, etc.). He talks or  hears  only  about  God. If  anybody  talks  any  worldly affairs  before  him,  he  leaves  the  place  at  once”.

The above is the outward expression of his day’s life. The realization of the fifth plane runs thus :—

The seer will see himself that his body is transformed into half-woman and half-man. The lower portion is woman and the upper portion is man. The condition lasts for two to three minutes. It happens in broad daylight and the seer sees it. The form is called (Ardhanariswar)—“half-man and half-woman God”.

There is a second class realization of the form of “half-man and half-woman God”. The devotee sees the form in the body of his God-the-preceptor. His God-the-preceptor assumes this half-woman and half-man form and appears before the devotee.

The first class realization of the “half-man and half-woman God”comes upon the physical body of the devotee and the second class realization takes place in the inner body, made of God’s light. Of the devotee.

“The invisible and formless God in the body first assumes the form of “half-man and half-woman”—Shri Ramkrishna.

223)     “Forehead  is  the  seat  of  the  sixth  plane, the  mind  reaches  there  in  the

forehead  and  the  devotee  sees  God  with  form,  God’s  other  sportive

forms,  and  God’s  light,  day  and  light”

A retinue (Nityasiddha—Iswarkati) of an Incarnation of God (Avatar) sees God in His various sportive forms .But in an Avatar, the realization is different. Firstly, the third eye or eye of knowledge opens. It is called ‘eye of knowledge’ because it is the divine eye through which various sportive forms of God are seen within the cerebrum. In the eye of knowledge the symbols of realizations to come upon in the seventh plane are seen—such as, a miniature image of Buddha or other symbols. Then the image of Mysterious Maya (Rahaswamayee Maya) is seen. She is quite, slim, something made of unseen beauty,

youthful and slowly dancing in rhythm and the gaze of her eyes are fixed on the toe of her feet. Then succeeds various sportive forms of God. Then God’s light is seen.

In seeing the God’s light there is a difference between an Avatar and his retinue.

A retinue sees God’s light in a lantern or in a bulb or both in lantern and electric bulb. Then he sees God’s light without any cover. But these are realizations of the sixth plane. An Avatar sees that a silk curtain is hanging before his sight and there shines the glorious rising sun behind the curtain.

224)     “Then  the  mind  enters  the  seventh  plane.  The man  is  endowed  with  the

knowledge  of  Brahma  (God)  and  sees  God  (Brahma—Atma)”

It is spoken of seeing God in the seventh plane where God-the-preceptor shows God and merges into God. After seeing God in the seventh plane a retinue of an Avatar cannot keep up his body any more. So the great Swamiji’s (Swami Viveknanda) passage for the seventh plane was kept under lock and key by Thakur.

An Avatar’s body is retained after seeing God in the seventh plane. Atma (God) will revel Himself in all His sportive forms there. The mystery of life and death will be solved. Then there will be Descent. In descent though an Avatar is God Himself but He will keep on seeing His own sports.

225)     “As  long  as  you  were  absent  in  the  meeting,  we  were  talking  about  you,

but  with  your  arrival  and  appearance  all talks  about  you  stopped”

It is Samadhi. Life—power is transformed into Supreme Self.

226)     “After  attaining  Supreme  Self,  all  outward  devotional

actions  of  the  devotee  are  dropped”

The mystery of life and death is solved. The illusory aspect of the creation is realized. So no more the game of illusion is played.

Seeing Diamond in dreams and reality after his death through Reading Centers

Dhirendra Nath Bhattacharya

1978 A. D.

Dhirendra Nath Bhattacharya is a reader of Salika Reading Center, Howrah where the Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ of Diamond (Jibankrishna) is read regularly.  He narrated his experience of the effect of reading of Diamond’s book thus :  Previously I used to attend Govinda temple Reading Center for listening to the reading of Diamond’s book. Then after words on Radharaman’s request I opened a Reading Center ay my residence. Unfortunately, I had no opportunity to meet Diamond in his life-time.

However, I had a few dreams which are as follows :

1)It was a heavy rain. The ferry service at Bandhaghat of Howrah was closed. No steersman agreed to carry me to the other side of the river. Ultimately being offered Rupees One one steersman agreed. In the boat we were seven in numbers. In the midst of the river the boat drowned. From inside the water one strong hand gave me a piece of paper with a writing ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ and the owner of the hand told me to cross the river. Holding the paper inside my palm I crossed the river and ultimately approached towards a beautiful house within a garden. At this time my dream was off.

[The steersman is God who takes care of the devotee during his dangers. The greatness of the book is also indicated.]

2)Jibankrishna has come to our house. I ran to Govinda temple and shouted, ‘Brother Bhola and Hiru, I have seen Jibankrishna!  He has come to our house!

[The seer has got Jibankrishna as his God-the-Preceptor.]

3) saw Jibankrishna in military dress. I was telling him, ‘Ekam Sat – Sa Ekah (Only ‘One’ exists – He is ‘One’. Then my dream was off.

[The seer is getting the sense of Oneness.]

I saw Jibankrishna’s (Diamond)  house in dreams before seeing in reality

Raghunath Prasad

Raghunath Prasad settled in Bengal from U. P. (India) long time back. He used to attend the Reading Center at Salikha, Howrah to listen to the reading of Diamond’s Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ (English version is Religion and Realization).

After attending the Reading Center for a few days he had two dreams which are as such :

1)Sitting on the portico of a house Jibankrishna was rubbing mustard oil on his body. When I went to him he gave some ‘muri’ (rice roasted in hot sand). But as I denied he told me in Hindi language to eat it. So after eating I went with him to take bath. As he was taking bath lifting water from the well. Then my dream went off.

Later on when I went to his residence at Betaitala, Howraah I became surprised to seehishouse. The same house I saw in my dream.

2)Something like a Circle was rotating and I was seated inside it. The butter was prepared inside a rod and I was taking the lump of butter by my hand. Suddenly I felt that a huge monkey jumped on my shoulder. Turning m head towards backside I saw that he was Jibnakrishna. My dream was off.

[The dreams indicate that the seer got Jibankrishna as his God-the-Preceptor. To eat butter means the seer is having the austerity of Soul or Atma. Huge monkey is the symbol of Supreme life force of the human body which is Jibankrishna himself.]

How my confusion about Jibankrishna (Diamond) is eliminated through dream

Nisanath Chatterjee from howrah Reading Center has narrated his experience thus :

It was in the year 1978. For a long time I used to read books on Sri Ramkrishna and dreamt him several times. Once I came in contact with a person Ganesh Manna (a companion of Jibankrishna) and started attending the Reading Center at his residence at Kadamtala, Howrah where there was a regular reading of Jibankrishna’s Bengali book Religion and Realization in English version). Though I heard the name of Jibankrishna long time back when he was alive, but I never felt to meet him as I felt proud of being a ‘Brahmin’ (the highest cast in Hindus).

After starting attending this Reading Center I saw Jibankrishna’s photo and came to know about him. But I was confused that being a non-Brahmin how did all these spiritual aspects were manifested within him!

During this time one night I saw a dream and seeing Sri Ramkrishna I asked him, ‘Being a non-Brahmin how all these spiritual powers were manifested with Jibankrishna’? He answered, ‘Ramkrishna and JIbankrishna are identical.’

From that day all my doubts were eliminated and I had many divine dreams henceforth.

Once one remarkable incident happened in my life. For a long time I had been offering to my expired father oon the day of ‘Mahalaya’ (a sacred day of Hindus for offering to their parents). In the year 1977, one day before Mahalaya I dreamt that Sri Ramkrishna came to me. I asked him, ‘Is this offering a wrong one’? He told me, ‘Ask your father, he will tell you.’ Then I saw that my father was standing on my left side and said, ‘when I am living, will you give offering to me’? Being confused I asked him, ‘How is that? You have expired 25 years age, so how do you come back’? He said, ‘No, I am not dead. I exist within you.’ My dream was off.

Next day I narrated the dream to Ganesh.

Next year also my mind did not support to give offering to my dead father, but yet I was still in confusion what to do.

Again on the previous day of Mahalaya I saw in my dream that my father coming to me was saying, ‘you should keep up the promise.’ Saying this he vanished. Suddenly I observed that all my clothes disappeared. When I was in search of my cloths my dream was off.

[The dreams indicated many aspects of the seer. God within him was eliminating his doubts. Seeing Jibankrishna within the body makes a man free of all old and traditional prejudices and ritualism. And the seer becomes unattached with all materialistic affairs. Free from cloths means free from all attachments.]
