Chapter – 23

Initiation of a new era

March 5, 1959.

How many times I have told you that the individualistic austerity is self – created. God reveals here as far the conception goes, and so there will be anomalies. What I have told you about my individualistic austerity?  Step by step I had spontaneous austerity in my life. But I have discarded all these, even visualization of God as because these are all prejudiced.

See, from time immemorial mankind wanted to know about God. Though a few of them have realized and conceived God, yet nobody could prove that God is in living human form. Though Vedas have given a little bit hints, yet due to lack of proof, Sankhya made comments that there is no proof of God. Even in recent days Rabindranath Tagore has mentioned, ‘The human race are worshipping that man in various names.’ But why they are worshipping in different names? It is because they did not know or visualize God. So this phenomenon has established a new era throwing away all the past anomalies of the religious world.

The whole human race is enveloped by a divine conscious and that conscious is the form of a human being. ‘In the beginning there was self alone in the shape of a living person’ (Upanishad) and you are bearing this proof.

The form of a living human being is the entity of full consciousness

On 5th March, 1959, Diamond said:

See, almost everything in individualistic austerity is self-created. The seer knows his maximum achievement as Brahma. So these are all self-exertion and for this reason there will be anomalies.

What I have told you about my individualistic austerity? Everything, even up to visualization of Atma or Soul or God’s Light. I have discarded because these are prejudices.

See, human race desired for Brahma (Supreme Being). Though they had revelations, achieved a bit concept and though understood it to some extent, ‘Sankhya’ wrote ‘There is no God due to lack of proof.’ And in recent years Rabindranath Tagore wrote, ‘Man worshiped that supernatural man in different names.’ Why they have worshiped? Because they couldn’t know him, see him.

But what has happened now? This phenomenon has thrown out all the past anomalies and established a new age with full proof.

All human beings are the entities of a full divine consciousness and that consciousness is the form of a living human being. ‘In the beginning there was self alone in the shape of a living person’ (Upanishad). So a ‘full form’ does not mean a void or infinity. You have proved that it is the form of a living man seeing within you.

What are Vedas

On 6th March, 1959, Diamond said :

See, do you know what are Vedas? The archive of the revelations of the Rishis(Sages). Somewhere the ultimate results of those revelations are also described and somewhere the revelations are not mentioned. They have only mentioned the effects. Whatever it is, Vedas are termed as super-human creation. In the Vedas it is mentioned that ‘Brahma’ or Supreme Being is the form of Bliss. In the world history this is the first to prove that Brahma is a living man and that Brahma exists both outside and inside. And this truth of Vedas has revealed within you spontaneously.

My first visit to Diamond (Jibankrishna)

My father used to go to Jibankrishna when I was a child. But I never liked his going as during holidays I could not go for a trip anywhere with him. Returning from Kadamtala where Jibankrishna used to reside, my father used to discuss about Jibankrishna with us. Hearing about Jibankrishna a sense of inquisitiveness gradually began to grow with me. So on a Sunday in the year 1960-61 I went to Jibankrishna with my father. I was then about 4-5 years. I do not remember exactly the date and month but it was in summer.

When I got up through the outside steps and entered into Jibankrishna’s room, I saw that he was seated on his cot and it seemed to me that I had come to a very pleasant place. Approaching towards him I bowed down to him. He made me a place on the cot and with great surprise and inquisitiveness I was looking around.

I could not remember exactly what discussion I had with Jibankrishna. On returning home my mother asked me,”Hey,how did you like him?” I remember that with a great joy I told my mother everything what I experience I had with Jibankrishna. Henceforth I began to go to Jibankrishna with my father regularly on holidays. On Sundays, generally in the afternoon at 4-5 o’clock I used to go and sit on his cot during the reading of the Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna. Sometimes I used to meditate and I never felt any  tireness. On the contrary I had a great feeling  of peace and joy. Sometimes I used to observe that he was giving yogic interpretation of the Gospel, sometimes he was falling into Samadhi (profound meditation merged into god), though I never understood those interpretations. But to see him in front of me was the greatest attraction to me. A few incidents I could remember  which I I am narrating now.  It was incident  happened when I had gone to Jibankrishna several times and I had seen him in dreams also. In the year 1963 for a few days Jibankrishna was staying in the residence of Ravi  Ganguly hiring two rooms.

One day I had gone there with my father. As soon as I entered into his room, Sri Dhiren Roy asked  me with affectionate tone,”you are coming here for a number  of days, but have you seen him in dream?” I said,’yes.’  Then with a slight joke he said,”oh you have seen! No, it is a lie!” But emphatically I again said,”yes, of course I have seen!” Hearing my words everybody including Jibankrishna burst into laughter.

Another day I was returning home after the reading of the Gospel was over, Jibankrishna asked my father about his health as he used to ask others. My father answered and was on his way of coming out of the room. Just at this moment  it seemed to me that Jibankrishna  is a all knowing person, so why he asked like this? While I was telling my father about this in a low voice, Jibankrishna asked my father,” Hey, what this child was saying?” My father said about my queries. Hearing this he became serious but said nothing.

One day I was sitting in Jibankrishna’s room. Evening was approaching. Jibankrishna started devotional song with  clapping his hands and hanging his legs from the cot. He was singing a single line falling in Samadhi frequently. For a long time he continued singing. After a while he came to a normal condition and told the reader to continue reading. Still now I can remember this scene.

It was another day, there was a discussion on immortality. I noticed that day he was having frequent Samadhi. Once he said, ”yes, I shall become immortal.” He said it with much emphasis and then and there he fell into Samadhi. I was very happy that day thinking that Jibankrishna will live with us for ever.

Another day I had gone to Kadamtala. I was seated on the floor. It was 7-8 p.m. A discussion was going on about the transformation of human being into god. Suddenly he said to others,” Let us see what this child says about it.” Then looking at me he asked,” Say, whether I am Hari (god’s another name) or a man?” The whole room became completely silent  and all kept on looking at me. Looking at me Jibankrishna  asked the same question again. In a very low voice I answered,’Hari.’ I could not answer it with a louder voice as I became nervous due to the fixing of eyes on me by each one present  in the room.

Another day an old gentleman entered into Jibankrishna’s room. Bowing down to him the old man leaned against the cot and sat on the floor with his back towards Jibankrishna. Some gentleman told him to sit facing Jibankrishna leaning  against the wall. He did so. After listening  to the reading for a while he said to Jibankrishna,” I have something to say.” Jibankrishna said,’say.’ Then the  old man took out a small notebook and said,”In this notebook are written some of my dreams as well as other family members dreams. I want to read these before you.” After getting Jibankrishna’s permission he began to read the dreams one by one. The dreams were of very ordinary nature. After reading for a long time everybody was feeling annoyed  and indirectly said to stop reading. I noticed that Jibankrishna was also annoyed due to stopping of reading of the Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna. So with a very sweet voice and without hurting the old man said that the dreams could be read later on and the reading of Gospel should be continued. So the old man kept the notebook  in his pocket and after a while went away.

Chapter 42

Indication  of  the  publicity  of  the  seer’s  dreams        

196.        22nd November, 1976.  Monday,

Early morning dream:   Indranath Mukherjee, a Jibankrishna’s companion, sitting inside a room was reading very loudly the manuscript of my dreams and  Dhiren Mondal, another companion, was listening to it. At this moment the dream went off.

This was the third time that the indications about the publicity of the seer’s dream were revealed through dreams . The first one was on 23.6.72 and the second one on 26.6.76.

Elimination  of  the  consequences  of  ‘karma’(actions) 

197.         23rd November, 1976.    Tuesday,

Early morning dream :  A room similar to that of  Raghunath Sen at Taltala, Kolkata was seen where many devotees were seated. Dilip Ghosh, a devotee way saying to someone, ‘Blessings of God are bestowed’ after elimination of the consequences of action’. Hearing this I said,‘what is this! The blessing of God is first and after that comes elimination of action.’ this theory was prevelant  in the previous Hindu religion. , but in the era of Jibankrishna this was become the reverse, as like Induction and Deduction’. Mr. Ghosh kept silent and continued to listen to me. Here the dream ended.

The dream indicated the condition of the seer that he has achieved this condition.

Accompaniment  with  devotees  and  indication

of  the  seer’s  future  

198.        25th November, 1976.   Thursday.

Early morning dream:  A big pond inside a park was seen. Indranath Mukherjee and I was standing on one side of the pond. A number of fishermen were catching fishes with their nets and quite a number of fishes were trapped in their nets. I noticed myself standing in the water on one side of the pond where the depth of the water was a bit low, though the water was dirty. As I had my shoes it was not touching my feet . But suddenly a little bit water entered into my mouth and I vomited all the water instantly .From there both of us went to Raghunath Sen’s house, had our meals and then I found myself alone . However, from their I went to the house of Iswari Prasad Goenka, an Industrialist and well known to me. He was a very religious minded man. There I had my meal and Mr. Goenka was seated in an adjacent room waiting for me. I had a bunch of exercise books which contained the matters about Jibankrishna, as if I had gone there to read these before Mr. Goenka . After finishing the meal I went to Mr. Goenka’s room where he was waiting . But what a wonder! As soon as I opened the pocket, it was noticed that there were no exercise books, instead of that it was full of the seeds of varieties of season flowers . So I said to Mr. Goenka, ‘what to do! Take out the Bengali book ‘Dharma O Anubhuti’, let me read it. He said, ‘ I have read it already’((In reality he took from me the Bengali book ‘Dharma-o-Anubhuti’ written by Jibankrishna based on his personal realizations). But I said, ‘leave it, yet I shall read it, and I read it every day’. Saying this I woke up.

The dream indicated that in course of austerity the seer may have many obstacles, but all will be eliminated by the grace of God. Besides, to eat means to have many realizations—Here ‘ Iswari Prasad’ means the grace of Almighty God—He had offered meals—means the seer will have innumerable realizations during his austerity . Varieties of seeds also denote varieties of realizations which are in seed form within the body of the seer and may in future be manifested within him.

Attaining  the  power  of  preaching

199).         26th November, 1976.  Friday.

Early morning dream:  I saw myself in a very large open field, full of quite a number of people, where some blackboards were kept. I was explaining to them on realizations and the next steps and so on by writing on the blackboards. Then the dream went off.

Writing means the realizations will be permanently settled within the body of the seer. Another meaning of the dream is that the seer is having the power of preaching, although the seer does not want to accept it.

Spiritual  practices  with  accompaniment of  devotees            

200.           29th November, 1976.   Monday.

Early morning dream:  The dream opened with the room of Jibankrishna at Kadamtala, Howrah, where many devotees like Indranath  Mukherjee, Khagendra Nath Ghosh, Dhiren Mondal etc.were present.

In the next scene I saw that I had gone to Khagendra Nath Ghosh’s residence at Sainthia of Birbhum District and had long conversations with him. After a while I woke up.

Seeing so many devotees in the dream the brain power of the seer is also increasing with regular spiritual practices.

(Henceforth  Shri  Ramkrishna  will be  spoken  of  as

Thakur” when required  as  it is so  done in the  Gospel )

371)                 “Jarabharat (a sage) and Dattatreya (a sage) got transformed into

Brahma but could not come down to give information about him”.

Though Jarabharta and Dattatreya got their mind eradicated of the egoism and transformed into the Supreme Knowledge, yet ego-consciousness in toto was not extinct. So there was no Descent (avataran) in them and they could not relate about the sportive forms of God (Bhagawat) in the body like Sukdeva.

372)                  “Not only mind will be effaced but ego-consciousness will be extinct also”.

To attain the Supreme Knowledge both mind and ego-consciousness will annihilate and then it will take place in full measure. It means Sthitha Samadhi and nothing can be spoken of it, Only Avatars can come out in Descent.

373)                  “Sukdeva saw and touched the ocean of Brahma”

Sukdeva had only a teste of the Supreme Knowledge.

374)                   “He did not get down and dive into it”.

He did not get Sihitha Samadhi.

375)                    “Sukdeva had to speak out the sportive forms of

God as seen and realized by him to Parikshit”.

Parikshit (a mythological king of the holy epic Mahabharata)—means a tried one. He is Parikshit who has got God-the-preceptor in him, i.e, when there is emanation of God in the body. It establishes for certain that he is the fit man to learn and realize (though partially) the sportive forms of God; but, of course, it is rurely and simply God’s grace.

376)                   “An ego of knowledge was kept in him (Sukdeva) by God”

This state is seen and realized by the devotee. He is in deep meditation, may, in Samadhi. In Samadhi he sees that an exquisitely beautiful and soothing lady, made of God’s light, very carefully, quietly and calmly approaches him on his back, spreads her arms and keeps her arms over the arms of the devotee. The touch of the lady is so much so soothing that it fills the devotee with ambrosia-like sweetness from head to foot. The lady merges herself in the body of the devotee and simultaneously it breaks open into the mind of the devotee—the lady representing ego of Knowledge (Vidya maya).

377)               “I am  His servant, His devotee ; I am not the doer but He is the doer”.

It is but natured devotion in the state of Tattvajnan of ‘Knowledge of Thou’. Here ego is but a watery line in an ocean.

Seeing Diamond in dreams and reality after his death through Reading Centers

Ms. Chandra Bhattacharjee and Ms. Bela Chakraborty are two regular listeners of Baguiati Reading Centre, Kolkata where Jibankrishna’s (Diamond) Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti’ (Religion and Realization in English version) is read regularly.

Ms. Chandra Bhattacharjee has narrated her dream:

On February 11, 2006, I saw in my dream that in a complete dark room there was a portrait of Jibankrishna. In front of the room one by one people are passing on the road and bowed to the portrait with folded hands saying, ‘Hail Jibankrishna’, ‘Hail Jibankrishna’. My dream was then off.

[The action of portrait and a living form are the same.]

On February 18, 2006, I saw in my dream that on the floor of our room we four were seated. Other three were my daughter, younger sister and her son’s fiancé Tapasi.

Suddenly Tapasi started kissing my younger sister. Instantly my sister’s face was transformed into Jibankrishna’s face. Three times she was kissing her face and each time I saw the same scene. But whenever my sister stayed in her own place, she possessed her own face. Then my dream was off. For a long time a divine joy persisted within me.

[Jibankrishna used to say that in the spiritual world there is no difference between sekes as god has no separate sex. In the spiritual world the female is transformed into male which was indicated in the dream.]

Ms. Renuka Das attends Baguiati Reading Center regularly to listen to the reading of Jibankrishna’s (Diamond) Bengali book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti (Religion and Realization in English version).

She narrated her two dreams.

1. It was a day of 2001 A.D. In the night I was dreaming my sister-in-laws’ residence. In her room I was trying to see the photo of Jibankrishna’s deadbody (in the hospital) through a mirror. But strangely I failed to see that photo. I again tried to see my face, but that one was not visible. In place of that I saw the living face of Jibankrishna. What a beautiful face it was! My mind became full of divine joy.

Within the dream again and again I was rubbing the mirror with cloth and saw Jibankrishna’s whole body. He was very health wearing a tight shocks and sat on a chair. The corner of the dhoti was touching the ground. I was floating in an ocean of joy and at the moment my dream was off. This joy persisted for a few days. Thereafter I understood that my own self is Jibankrishna, because after a frantic effort I couldn’t see my face in the mirror, instead of that Jibankrishna’s face was visible.

2. I saw in my dream that a conference was going on in our maternal uncle’s house. The audiences were making noise. At that moment my maternal aunt put me on the stage by force from the back side. She said, ‘You say something, then everybody will keep silence’.

Standing on the stage I was puzzled and went on thinking what to say. At this moment I remembered about the preface of Jibankrishna’s book ‘Dharma-O-Anubhuti.’

So I went on saying about the preface and no sound came out from any one present there. Everybody began to listen with rapt attention. It seemed to me as if everything was in my complete memory. At this moment my dream was off.

[Whenever the preface of Jibankrishna’s book will be read, it transmits power to human being and his mind is withdrawn from the outer world to the inner world.]

Experience with Diamond in his absence

21st December, 1954. Saturday.

Dasarathi Banerjee (To Diamond)- Due to diarrhea I could not go to my office for 15 days. Yesterday having gone to office my European boss came and said with red eyes, ‘Old haggerds! You have to complete 15 days’ work within a day’. I also got angry and and decided to resign. So I was preparing my resignation letter sitting on my table and got half sen
