Chapter 36

The meaning of Self – Realization

July 24, 1959.

The meaning of Self-Realization is that I am not body but the Atma or Soul. Now come to Thakur. He was interpreting it as such. But after this realization did he take food or didn’t? If that was not so, its proof would have been established that I am the Atma or Soul, not the body.

What is the proof here? You are bearing the proof that I am Atma, whenever you are saying, ‘We are seeing you in our cerebrum,’ and at that moment where you are seeing me? In the spiritual state. I am becoming your causal body. I am the container and at the same time I am the container

Probably you are thinking that I am too clever! But not at all, who has proved this thing? Am I? No, the human race is proving it. The human race bears the truth, but in their (Past ages) case, who bears the truth? I am saying and you believe it’ – here it ends the matter.

A new Religion is established by seeing Diamond within the body

Sri Ramkrishna says, ‘What is self-knowledge? To grow a sense about the separation of soul and body’. In this contest Diamond said – This means that I am not body but the soul. Well after having this sense whether he ate or drank? No! He did all these things of course if all these activities were checked, then the proof was established.

But here you see, whether I am the Soul, you are bearing the proof, whenever you are saying, ‘we have seen you within our spiritual bodies.’ I am becoming your causal body. Here I am the container and at the same time content. SO who are bearing the proof of my self-knowledge? Not I, but the human race of the world. The human race bears the Truth, but in their case, who bears the Truth? ‘I am saying and you believe it’, and thus far.

Vedanta is the practical and the Universal Religion

When a man goes to bed at night after meditation, there is a spontaneous hope that I should get a realization at night – just to get a rosy to-morrow. Those who live with this future, they are human beings. Those who live with past, they are dead. Past is a by-gone chapter. Whatever you have got is all right, but fix at more to get, not at the past.

To see Diamond within the body is the practical Religion

What is happening here is neither knowledge nor devotion. If you term it as Religion, then it is Practical Religion – where after seeing a living human form within the body we are tallying outside. This tallying outside is a serious matter and it is a continuous phenomenon. Many things I cannot expose to you unless these manifest outside. If say, this will be merely imagination. Still you see so many things have manifested in my individual life. So far which has manifested is real in our life.

Here, that saying by the Vedic sages ‘He is One’ is also drowned. The Truth is ‘One’, and that was unknown in the past.

Religion is not based on faith – Religion is based on realization with proof

The Vedic sages said, ‘Atma (Soul) can be seen’. Then thousands and thousands of years passed. Coming to modern period we find that Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna) said, ‘I swear that I have visualized God’. No proof is obtained in between this long period that anyone has visualized God with such concrete proof.

Now, in my case whether I have been transformed into Universal Soul with body is proved by the fact that myriads of people irrespective of religions, cast and creed, sexes and ages are seeing my form within their bodies. So my physical form is the form of Atma or Soul.

There will be no such individualistic austerity in full-fledge form, because we have crossed that zone and got Universal austerity. Then what remains there? A human being and that is you.

Now the question comes about ‘I am He’. Who is ‘He’? Have you seen that ‘HE’? Out of about 400 billions of people if only 3-4 persons saw that ‘He’, what matters to that! The rest of the world will believe that and what they will get out of it?

For so many years that ‘He’ was unknown. But now time has come to say that we have seen that ‘He’. He is in the form of a living human being. So that ‘He’ has become known to us now.

 

DIAMOND AND THE AMAZING FACTS ABOUT DREAMS AND REALITY IN HIS LIFE TIME

Charu Babu was working in my office. Form writers’ buildings Ashim Babu and from Fairly Place Hiru Babu used to come to Charu Babu. I heard several times from Charu Babu about Jibankrishna. But from Hiru Babu I heard details about Jibankrishna. When I asked Hiru Babu about my intention to meet Jibankrishna, he said, ‘Wait, first let me take permission from him’.

After a few days from the office I went with them to Jibankrishna. I was then Agricultural Commissioner of Government of West Bengal. He welcomed me and asked, ‘Have you seen any dream’? I narrated a few of my dreams. He said, ‘Put off your Coat. I did that. Then he said, ‘Put off your shirt.’ I did that. Again he said, ‘Put off your vest. See I shall wear you a towel, understand’? Saying this he showed me the towel held in his hands. I thought I would not fear that.

Going to Jibankrishna I had confusions about hearing the importance of dreams. I was thinking why he was giving such importance to dream! It was because I had the same ideas as others had. But one thing charmed me and that was his great love without any self interest and his affectionate voice. After meting him I had numerous  dreams and among the two I am narrating.

1.       In the first of 1958 one noon time after lunch I was lying on my bed in a holiday.  I had a dream. In the dream I was asking myself, ‘Is it true whatever we see in dreams? I answered myself, ‘Yes, whatever we see in dreams’? I answered myself, ‘Yes, whatever is seen in dreams is true’. I had never seen such type of dreams. When I told Jibankrisna  about my dream he said, ‘Then the problem is solved. You could understand yourself. This is called self. Explanatory mind.’

2.       One night I saw in a dream that Jibankrishna was seated on one side of his Cot at his residence. I was also seated beside him. He was reading a book held in his hand. With a great eagerness I looked at him. Then he gave the book to me and the dream was off.

FROM MY DIARY OF DIVINE DREAMS

Chapter – 54

Establishment  of  the  realizations  noted  in    

Bengali  book  ‘Dharma  O  Anubhuti’

247.  9th July,  1977. Saturday.

Early morning dream:   I was having a dream within a dream that I was narrating to some people about the phenomenon of visualization of God. Then my dream went off within my actual dream. Somebody of my house then said to me, “ While sleeping, why do you recite—Dharma-O-Anubhuti, Dharma O Anubhuti’(Jibankrishna’s Bengali book based on his personal spiritual realizations)? I answered something.

Then when I actually woke up I exclaimed, ‘Oh! I was dreaming so long’!

The dream reveals that the essence of the book ‘Dharma O Anubhuti’, i.e., the realizations of Jibankrishna will be revealed to a great extent within the seer as this was forecasted by Jibankrishna in the first dream after his comeback from his long detachment from Jibankrishna in his life time.

Austerity  of  the  Holy  Ghost  in  his  new  body                                     

248 .   11th July,  1977.  Monday.

Early morning dream:  I heard that Jibankrishna had come to a certain place and within the dream it seemed to me that he was coming with a new body after his demise in the year 1967. Hearing this I was overwhelmed with joy, as if nothing was there to me except Jibankrishna. Thereafter I saw myself going to him with a heavenly joy leaving all worldly attractions. While going, on the way I saw Dhrien Mondal, a devotee was standing, as if he would also go to Jibankrishna. Being asked he answered, he would go the next day. But I did not wait and went forward thinking, oh! To-morrow he would have come and what he would be doing at this moment! With these thoughts I was becoming thrilled with joy and with this sensation the dream went off.

Instantly it appeared in my mind that once Jibankrishna said, ‘If Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna) comes now at Dakshineswar, what I shall do, you know? I shall run to him, hug his waist and shall not leave any more ‘. The similar sensation also existed within my mind for a long time. Besides this another indication appeared in my mind that a new phase of austerity will occur in Jibnakrishna through me.

Destruction  of  allurement  and  prejudice

249)    In between 11th July and 3rd August, 1977 .

The scene opened with a village road. I was walking on the road and saw a huge building. There was an automatic recitation of ‘Ramkrishna’ and ‘Jibankrishna’ within me. Then after crossing that building I reached near a pond.  When I was returning and came near that same building , somebody said , ‘A new floor was constructed in that building where a she-evil spirit stays. Hearing this I said with a challenging mood, ‘Where, let me see her’! But at the same time an automatic recitation of the name ‘Jibankrishna’ was going on within me. After quite a number of shouting that evil spirit came near the window. It seemed to me that as soon as I would look at her eye to eye, she would bring me under her control. So I fixed my eyes on her covering my eyes with a net and noticed that her eyes were glazing. At this moment the dream went off.

The dream reveals that during the austerity of a devotee so many allurements come to him but by the grace of God all are removed. These allurements may come in my life but with the grace of God I would overcome all hazards.

[In the long run so many hazards came in my life, but by the grace of God-the-Preceptor I was able to overcome.]

Indication  of  attainment  of  Universal  austerity

250)  30th July,1977. Sunday. Early morning dream: I saw a student named Janadeva. I had some conversations with him but could not be remembered later on. After he went away, it appeared in my mind that during my austerity in ascent ultimately I met Janadeva and here the dream went off.

Janadeva is another name of Ganesh the god in Hindu mythology who is known as donator in the attainment of austerity of the highest degree, and also god of mass population . Here the dream indicates that the seer will have attainment of Universal austerity in future.

Appearance  of  devotee’s  figures  before  eyes 

251)   16th August, 1977. Tuesday.

At noon, in trance sometimes the figures of some devotees like Ramchandra Das, Binay Roy were appearing before my eyes. Again many unknown figures of human beings were appearing. After some time I got back my full sense.

This type of vision used to be experienced by Jibankrishna and was explained by him thus : ‘So long you have been seeing me within you, and now it is coming back in me, i.e., I am seeing you within me, which means the cycle is going to be complete now and I may have the controlling power in the spiritual world’.

 

RELIGION AND REALIZATION (EXCERPT)

(Henceforth  Shri  Ramkrishna  will be  spoken  of  as

Thakur” when required  as  it is so  done in the  Gospel )

447)                       “A  man  attains  devotion  and  knowledge”.

What is devotion and what are the realizations and manifestations of devotion in the human life and body?

(a)    It is to attain God-the-Preceptor first. Then life-power awakens. By awakening of life-power, devotion establishes itself in the body. It is but the beginning.

(b)    Establishment of devotion in the full-fledged form is to obtain the manikin form of God engaged in prayer by clasping his hands within oneself.

What is knowledge and how a man will know about attainment of knowledge ?

(a)      To see God in the seventh plane as shown by God-the-Preceptor is the first stage of knowledge.

(b)      ‘I am not this body but I am He—is the seconds stage.

(c)        The final stage of Knowledge is at the outset of Descent when it spontaneously bursts out “I am not Thou”.

448)                      “After attainment of knowledge and devotion a man may live in

the world and the world will not be able to tarnish him”.

Here it is spoken about Supreme Knowledge.

After attainment of Supreme Knowledge a man lives but he does not lead an ordinary man’s life. He

lives, he eats, he sleeps and by God’s commandment he becomes a “man-catcher” as Christ told Peter.

449)                          “The sticky milk of a Jack-fruit will not stick to one’s hand of

the jack-fruit is broken after rubbing one’s hand with oil”.

Oil—is the second symbol by which the Supreme Consciousness is revealed in the human body, it is so seen by a man that he is rubbing his body with mustard oil which has got a reddish yellow colour. The real ‘Supreme consciousness’, Chaitanaya, flares up in a flame of brilliant red light in the seventh plane.

‘Honey’ is the first symbol by which Chaitanya is represented.

Jack-fruit—represents this human body. A jackfruit has got several sheaths. This human body has got five sheaths and in these five sheaths God expresses Himself in several kinds of realizations.

Sticky  milk—is attachment to the world.

A man after attaining Supreme Consciousness may live in this world as his life of the liberated one.

450)                           “In a game of hide and seek, if the ‘granny’

is touched then one is safe”.

Game of hide and seek—is three qualities or strands (Triguna) known as Sattva, Rajas and Tamas.

Sattva—is represented by white colour and it means quietness or wisdom.

Rajas is represented by red colour and it means restlessness or activity.

Tamas is represented by black colour and it means lacking in alertness. It is inertia and dull.

Granny—represents God.

The three qualities or strands are but thieves in the game ‘hide and seek’ in the body as it is they who keep God (granny) hidden from coming within view.

A man must overcome these qualities or strands and then he shall be able to attain God in him—an

ever blissful state.

 

DIAMOND’S AFTER-DEATH SPIRITUAL ACTION THROUGH HIS BOOK

Jibankrishna in Sun

Mrs. Kali Addy has narrated her trance and dreams as such:

1)      In the year 1990, one day during listening to the reading of Jibankrishna’s (Diamond) book ‘Dharma-0-Anubhuti’ (Religion and Realization) at the Reading Center of Beleghata, Kolkata, I saw in a trance that Jibankrishna as seated in the sun like the posture in his photo.  The color of the sun was reddish like morning sun.  Then the trance was off.

[Isha Upanishad has mentioned about the person in the sun some thousand of years ago who is Parama Brahma or the Supreme self].

2)      I saw in a dream that I had gone to Brahmapur (Place of God or cerebrum or the seventh plane.  There were no wind, no sun.  I lied down there and felt sleepy.  Then within the dream I woke up and saw the picture of Jibankrishna as is seen on the cover of Jibankrishna’s book ‘Dharma-0-Anubhuti’.  I was having conservation with that picture.  I was telling him, ‘There was nothing here but within a moment all these houses, paths came up’!  The picture said, ‘There was a cemetery here previously.  Have you seen my temple?  See that temple’.  Then he showed me a white temple at a distant place.  I could only see the top of the temple.  Then that picture told me, ‘I live in that temple’.  At this moment my dream was off.

[The seer saw the person of Brahmapur.  This has been mentioned in Upanishads.  White temple is the symbol of pure body and the top is the seventh plane where God exists]

Mrs. Sandhyarani Pal from Beleghata Reading Centre has narrated a dream thus:

On July 5, 1999 at about 4/5 PM, I slept and dreamed a milky white light.  Then I felt a tingling sensation from my head to the naval, as if shocked by electric current.

Then I saw that Swami Vivekananda as having meditation sitting on a hill wearing a white dress.  Then I saw Jibankrishna.  He was also meditating though moving a bit.  He looked at me but did not talk.  He also wore white dress.  I appealed to him, ‘show yourself’.  Next I saw Sri Ramkrishna raising his right hand pointing upwards and in a posture of Samadhi.  I said to him, ‘oh Lord, show yourself, show yourself’.  At this moment my dream was off.

[Tingling sensation from head to naval indicates the descent of divine consciousness from cerebrum or seventh  plane to third plane of the body.  Swamy Vivekananda is the symbol of Raj Yoga, Sri Ramkrishna – Incarnation of God and Jibankrishna is God-the-Preceptor.

The seer is having Raj Yoga by the grace of God-the-Preceptor who is transformed into God the incarnation.]

Instruction for performing meditation

September 10, 1955.

Rambhadra Roy (To jibankrishna) –A few days ago, I saw in a dream that somebody was telling me, ‘Go to Kashi.’

Jibankrishna – Kashi (Beneras) means the seventh plane of this body. You are instructed to meditate. Do it well for a long time, so that your mind reaches the seventh plane.

One’s divine dream is applicable to all

September 11, 1955.

Jibankrishna (To the listeners) Ratan (Das) came here in the morning. Last night he dreamed that both of us were seated face to face. At this moment one girl sat in between us, and as if Ratan touched her body. I was annoyed and lied down and told him, ‘Whatever I have given you I shall take it back.’ Then falling on my feet he began to cry. Seeing him in this condition I said, ‘well, this time I am forgiving you, but be careful.’

Narrating this dream Jibankrishna said, ‘This dream is not only for Ratan but applicable to everybody.’

Meaning of seeing dead persons in dream

September 11, 1955.

Khagendra Nath Ghosh (To Jibankrishna)- One night I saw in a dream that one of my boyhood friends (Dead) and I were roaming in the field of our primary school. Then being very tired both of us lied down on the floor of a room of our school after closing the door. The windows were also closed. Suddenly I noticed that somebody was opening the window from outside. I cried and at that moment I woke up.

Jibankrishna- Unless the body becomes pure one cannot see a dead person in dream and his name should be taken into account. The seer did not want to go outside out of fear which means, it is the fear for being stuck in the seventh plane and incapable of getting back. But my boys, you need not fear. Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna poured his grace upon you.

Khagen – In another dream I saw a shore of a river, and a tiger was staying there. But I was not afraid and caught him by a trap.

Jibankrishna- Tiger is the symbol of God-the-Preceptor. He was caught by you, and in addition you will have power like a tiger. Without a strong body this supreme cult cannot be achieved fully.

[Tiger eats flesh. In the same manner God-the-Preceptor eats the ego-conciousness of human being. For this reason tiger symbolizes God –the-Preceptor.]

God-the-Preceptor takes all responsibilities of a devotee

September 12, 1955.

Dhirendra Nath banerjee (To jibankrishna)- I saw in my dream that I had gone to the market with you. We purchased a huge quantity of commodities. But you paid for all commodities.

Jibankrishna- Market means this human life. To purchase commodities means to have austerities. I paid for everything which means I have taken all your responsibilities and you will have nothing to do.
