Chapter 38

Without freedom full-fledged manifestation of God does not occur

August 9, 1959

Swami Vivekananda used to say, ‘Nobody listens to a person of dependent country’.

Just see, Sri Chaitanya (Founder of Vaisnaba cult about 600 years ago in Bengal) went to Orissa was then independent country (Bengal was under Muslim rule).

The reason is that there is a pressure of dependence on the brain. From where this servility was introduced in religion – I have got that proof. About a thousand years ago the Muslims invaded India and used to keep people as slaves. So about six years ago we find that kavir (A religious teacher) was singing ‘I am slave….’

What should I say that this human body is a machine of God and for that reason he implied this servility on God and introduced the practice of saying,’I am servant, you are Lord.’ As a result, what happened? He deceived himself.

Upanishads are announcing,’ you are the son of Immortal self.’ And now he remains as servant! When I think about it, it slays my brain.

Each man is Brahma or supreme Being. Nothing is there above it. Chandidas some hundreds of years back (A Bengali religious poet during Muslim reign) said, ‘Man is the Truth and nothing above that.’ There it was merely academic, but here what we are seeing? Everybody unites in a point and that is the form of a living man and proof is borne by you, not by me.

What is common to all is the Truth

August 9, 1959

Do I ask you a question? Well how many times the same incident happened in your life? I am not saying about eating and sleeping in the material world I am meaning about the spiritual world. Well, I am saying that seeing me in dreams happened so many times in your life. Then happening repeatedly it is establishing the continuity. Why? Because Truth is perpetual. And you see that so many realizations you have experienced but no one realization can be matched with another except seeing my form in dreams.

Now leave aside individualism and come to universalism.

Innumerable persons have experienced so many realizations and what is the common factor? This is to see my form. So, which is perpetual and common to everybody, what will you say about that? This is the Truth. Truth means that which is common to all.

Well, can you say why I repeat about this universal Truth? This is because this individualistic austerity has deceived the human race for so many years. So I am warning you that nobody will have such full-fledged austerity and be careful about this acrobatic feat of such individualistic austerity.

In individualistic austerity animal passion is not eradicated

August 23, 1959

See, whatever occurs in an individualistic austerity cannot surpass animal passion. Do you know why? Under no circumstances the ‘self-ego’ is not annihilated except being dissolved. Otherwise, whether it is said that ego-consciousness transformed into divine consciousness or supreme consciousness – this does not stand as Thakur (Sri Ramkrishna) gives the example – ‘cut a pipul tree to-day, next day you will see that the new stems have emerged.’ SO the best proof of the annihilation of ego-consciousness will be seen here which has happened and still is happening here. How? Myriads of people seeing my form within them are announcing that all of you are me. So where is my existence? So, ‘I am all’ – who is announcing? I? No, you are saying! Just see, what a concrete proof it bears!

Seeing Jibankrishna within the body happens through Rajyoga

August 24, 1959

Well can you say what is this phenomenon that you see my form in trance, dreams, reality and meditation? This is Rajyoga – the spontaneous lucid progress of life-power of a human life.

Where does this Rajyoga take a man? It takes to such a place where there is no entry of anything else except my luminous form. And what am I doing by taking you there? I am transforming you into God.

Dr. Monisankar Bandopadhyay

Sudhin Sinha was my boyhood friend. During our residing at Pataldanga (Kolkata) we were his neighbor. One day, going to his residence I could not find him. Later on I heard from him that he used to go to a noble man at Kadamtala, Howrah. During that time i was not liking anything except seeking companion of saints. So one day I told Sudhin,”When a man gets a good thing, generally he shares it with his relatives and friends. So take me there. Share it with me.”Sudhin agreed. But due to disturbances again and again this opportunity did not come and one year was passed.

One day with prior arrangement I started with Sudhin for Howrah. I could not remember the exact date, but it was 1956. We reached Jibankrishna’s  residence at  Kadamtala, Howrah at 3 p.m. and was introduced with him. He welcomed me and told me to sit near him. The Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna was read during that time and he was giving yogic interpretation. During this time once his hand  was touched with my knees. As soon as I felt a strange sensation on my whole body. It seemed as if there was none in the room except both of us.

When I went to him for the second time, my brother-in-law Gyanendra Banerjee and another neighbor Bibhuti Sen were with me.

For the third time when I went to him another companion was added. He used to reside near by and his name was some Mr. Bhattacharya. All of them were greatly pleased from the very first day.

For the fourth time another Mr. Bhattacharya joined me. He was a bit saintly person. At the very first day he was nervous.

One thing I observed. Whenever I went to Jibankrishna, I used to feel  a strange sensation throughout the day and it used to last for 2-3 days. My brother-in-law also felt  the same sensation.

A very remarkable realization I could remember now. It was the second day of my meeting . I was seated near Jibankrishna listening to the reading  of the Gospel of Sri Ramkrishna. Gradually I felt my body was becoming  lighter and lighter. It seemed as if I was not seated on the floor, I was floating in the air higher than the floor.  At this moment I felt some defective sensation . I was feeling ashamed  and cursed me. I came out of the room. But it was strange that nobody was there anywhere. I felt stunt. Later on I narrated it to Bibhuti babu. He told me that Kundalini being awakened moved upward and was united with lord Shiva and for this reason such pleasure was felt.

It was my fifth day meeting and it was a remarkable day because I had a vision that day. I was listening to the reading of the Gospel. Then I felt that my body was becoming something unusual. At first I saw a red light and surrounding this light different strange and beautiful scenes began to appear. With rapt attention I went on watching it. At the end of reading when I was going to bow down to Jibankrishna, he asked,”Have you seen anything my boy?” I said, ”No.” But I had no idea whether this vision came under divine realization. On our way hearing this Bibhuti babu reproached,”Oh, what you saw should have been narrated to him. He could have said whether it came under divine realization.” A few days later i narrated it to Jibankrishna.

I have seen Jibankrishna only once. I saw that he came to our house with sudhin. Worshipping of goddess Kali was going on at our house as used to be in reality. I was very happy seeing him coming to our house. I made him sit with great care and then I went up. Whether there was any conversation I could not remember.

But one thing I must admit that I have got the true peace in my life and that happened due to Jibankrishna.

Chapter – 56

Revelation  of  future  compilation  of  Sri  Jibankrishna’s

sayings  and  its  English  translation

257)     4th September, 1977, Sunday.  Place :  Makardah, Howrah.

Early morning dream:  I noticed that my compilation of Jibankrishna’s sayings in Bengali was being read by someone and I was also listening. After a while its English translation would also be read. Thereafter I woke up.

After a while I again fell asleep and dreamt that my eldest sister Baruna at home said something which raised my anger and with a single dress I went out of my house. I told my mother, ‘I do not know when I shall return’. After going out of home, I thought where to go. So many names came in my mind. Lastly the name of Dhiren Mondal appeared in my mind. Then and there it was noticed that he himself came to take me to his house and I followed him towards his house. Then I woke up.

The first scene reveals the future when this compilation would be read by many people and also there will be a translation into English.

[I started compilation work from August, 1976 and it was completed in the year 1992. Thirteen Bengali books are published on the basis of this compilation and are being translated into English for sending to different parts of the world through different websites. The second scene in microcosm reveals that the seer should be calm as    ‘Dhiren’ depicts calmness. This incident happened in reality in the same fashion after 27 years except that instead of eldest sister, it happened due to eldest brother.]

Extreme  eagerness  for  the  Holy  Ghost

258)    6th September, 1977, Tuesday.

Early morning dream:  I had gone searching for Jibankrishna at his residence of Kedar Deuti Lane, Howrah but failing to find him there, I was crying with great agony. At this moment I woke up.

The dream is also similar to that seen in between 20/8/77 and 27/8/77 and at the same time indicates the great dedication of the seer to Jibankrishna.

Repetition  of  dispassionate  condition  of  the  seer

9th September, 1977.

259)    Three days after the previous dream I had an early morning dream—I had become sick and medicine was given to me. My mother said, ‘This medicine is given in the name of God’. I said, ‘Then I shall not do any treatment ‘. Saying this I had my treatment in another place.

The same indication as was shown in the previous dream dated 3/9/77 was revealed in to-day’s dream.

This type of repeated dreams means these conditions are well established within the body of the seer.

Austerity  of  descent  through  the  body  of the  Holy  Ghost and  future  revelation  of  the  seer

260)    15th September, 1977, Thursday.

Early morning dream:  I was preparing myself for going to Makardah, Howrha where the devotees used to assemble for get together off and on. I saw that Jibankrishna would also accompany me. Along with me there were other devotees. After a while all of them went to Makardah. Next I saw that Jibankrishna had lied resting his head on my lap and I was passing my hand lightly on Jibankrishna’s head. Sometimes I was properly arranging his head pillow. It was felt as if I was looking after him. After a while Jibankrishna went for bath in the nearer pond. I was always accompanying him. But at the same time I was thinking that Raghunath Sen would have been better for this purpose, why I was kept for looking after him! However, Jibankrishna went down in the pond for bath, but it was noticed that he was taking bath in a very peculiar manner—He was floating inside the glass- like transparent water and frequently fell into Samadhi. He was taking bath in different ways. I was thinking that perhaps the Yogis used to take bath in such ways! Thereafter I woke up.

Here the meaning instantly flashed thus—To plunge in the water means to have realizations in decent (Ref: ‘Dharma O Anubhuti’—No 714). Here the austerity of the seer takes place through the body of the Holy Ghost.

To take care of the Holy Ghost indicates the future of the seer when he will maintain the philosophy of the Holy Ghost in a proper manner and devote himself to restore the works of the Holy Ghost.

[For the next 35 years the seer is deeply engaged in compiling all the sayings of Jibankrishna, divine dreams of innumerable people through magazine and his books.]

Place  :—Temple  of  Dakshineswar .

(Henceforth  Shri  Ramkrishna  will be  spoken  of  as

Thakur” when required  as  it is so  done in the  Gospel )

454)                     “Firstly of the first,  I have secured a room”.

Room—signifies space for holding Atma or God in the seventh plane.

The sentence means that he has got God’s grace.

How will a man know that he has got God’s grace ?

At the outset he will get God-the-Preceptor in him. This is but the first condition of getting God’s  grace. The final state is that your own prototype will come out from your body and will say to you, “Well, well, there is God’s grace on you”—, i. e. you are Kripa Siddha.

455)                      “I have  kept  my  bag  and  baggage”.

Bag and baggage—stand for this human body with all other attributes.

This body is but a burden. After emanation in full measure of God from the body a man understands that the burden of his body is removed.

456)                      “I  have  locked  the  room”.

Room—here means the cell in the cerebrum where appears the sense that ‘I am body’. This sense

that ‘I am body’ has evaporated as God has emanated in full measure from his body.

457)                       “I have  been  relieved  in  to-to”.

I am a liberated one.The liberation has two stages.

(1)  To see God in the seventh plane and to be conscious that ‘I am He’.

(2)  The second one is the Descent in the knowledge of ‘Thou’ after the knowledge of ‘I’

or ego is totally annihilated. There is another kind of realization which is seen by a liberated one. Though it is a poor one but it is acknowledged. Your shadow will come out from your body and with uplifted hands, he will dance before you saying, “Well, I have been liberated, I have been liberated”.

458)                    “Now I am going round within the city,  seeing and enjoying all the funs”.

It means to be in the seventh plane where the mystery of God, illusion, the living being, and the Universe are solved.

459)                      “So  long,  the  spring  was  under  cover.”

The life-power was in a dormant state but now she is awakened and rising up to the seventh plane.

Indication of death of my grandmother in dream

Somenath Baxi

Somenath Baxi is the grandson (Daughter’s son) of Mrs. Bimalaprabha Bhattacharjee who is a regular listener in Beleghata Reading Centre, Kolkata and used to see Jiban Krishna in dreams very frequently.  On hearing about Jibankrishna from Mrs. Bimalaprabha Bhattacharjee he saw two dreams where two dreams indicated the death of his maternal grandmother.  The dreams are as such 3 as narrated by him:

1) On September 15, 1994 I saw in dream that one of my friends had come to me.  I told my maternal grandmother to prepare tea for him.  She said, ‘Bring biscuits’.  But being angry with her I did not go to her room for two consecutive days.  Then on the third day going to her room that Sri Ramkrishna (Incarnation of God and God-the-Preceptor of Jiban Krishna) had come to her room.  He called me by my name and told to go to him.  My maternal grandmother said, ‘Bring sweets from the shop’.  Sri Ramkrishna said, ‘I won’t eat’.  Then addressing me he said, ‘Don’t come to this room.  When you will not take care of her, I shall take her with me.’  Being angry I said, ‘yes, you take her, I shall not take care of her as she abused me’.  So when he was taking her by holding her hand, I cried, and my dream was off.

2) In reality I used to stay in the same house where my maternal grandmother was staying, though she had only a single small room.  I used to love her very much and take care always after the fracture of her waist.

But once getting the job I had to stay away from her, though in the night I used to come to her and enquire about her troubles.  One day due to heavy pressure of work I could not come to her.  In that night I saw a dream:

My maternal grandmother was having great pain as she used to get in reality.  Sitting beside her I was praying to Sri Ramkrishna saying, ‘Please cure my grandma’.  At that moment I saw that he told me, ‘It is the time for your grandma’s death.  Now she will come to me’.  Actually she expired.  At that moment a flame like a candle came out of her body and merged with Sri Ramkrishna’s body.

Seeing this I was crying and told him, ‘you are an idol made of stone.  How do you save my grandma’s life!  You merged her with you’!  Then Sri Ramkrishna said, ‘whenever you will desire, you can see her.  But you have told me a stone!  Then see’!  As soon as he said this, I saw that the picture of Sri Ramkrishna became living and his head was detached from his body.  In its place the head of goddess Kali was attached to his body.  Then mother Kali told me, ‘who is Ram, he is Krishna and now he is Ramkrishna’.  My dream was off.

Actually Mr. Bimalaprava Bhattacharjee expired after these dreams.

Jibankrishna (Diamond) in Sun

Mrs. Lila Dutta from Beleghata Reading Centre, Kolkata has narrated how she saw Jibankrishna in sun in her dream.  Her narration is thus:

On July 14, 1998 I saw in my dream that a white horse was standing in front of my room.  Somebody told me to ride on it.  As soon as I rode on it with my grandson he began to run and stopped near the river Ganges.  It seemed to be the Ganges at Hardwar sacred place in northern India).  I was thinking that sun rise could be seen from here.  After a while I saw that the red sun was rising like a lentil size, but gradually it took the size of a large dish.  I saw that inside it Jibankrishna with bare upper body and wearing dhoti was seated with folded hands.  In front was seen floating lighting earthen lamps in innumerable number, and my dream was off.

[Horse – Life force, White – pure attributes, grandson – future, Sun – Insignia of divine knowledge, Jiban Krishna in Sun – person in sun mentioned in Isha Upanishad- Parama Brahma or Supreme self.]

On June 18, 2000 I saw in a dream innumerable snakes in my room.  When one of the snakes bites me, I told her, I take so much care of you, yet you have bitten me’?  Then and there I saw that all the snakes in the room became a lump of heap.  After that I saw that there was no heap and in place of that Jiban Krishna was seated.  Looking at him my dream was off.

[Snake – Kundalini or life power, Many snakes – Mahayoga.  It indicated that Jiban Krishna is collective consciousness – universalism].

The flame moved from one village to another and spread like anything. I saw a moving car which was also spreading the flames. I thought I shall not be spared now, and I shall also burn, though it did not happen. Then the dream was off.
